Max Stoltenow Passes Away
Max c. Stoltenow, 68, a lifelong residest [sic] of Spencer, passed away at 11:30
o’clock Sunday evening, the result of a complication of ailments.
The body lie in state at the Swarthout Funeral Home until 11 a. m. Wednesday
when it was taken to the Trinity Lutheran Church where funeral rites were held
at 2 o’clock the Rev. A. C. Stapel officiated and burial was made in the West
Spencer cemetery.
Mr. Stoltenow, whose parents preceded him in death, was born here June 29, 1879
and was married at Spencer August 22, 1911, to Alvina Marquardt. He was a
storekeeper for many years and also operated a meat market here. He retired
fifteen years ago.
Surviving are his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Norma) Missling, Milwaukee;
three sons, Carl, of Cecil; Willis, of Milwaukee; and Eugene at home; two
grand-children; and a sister, Mrs. Hattie Drews, Marshfield.
Two sisters also preceded him in death
