Schagenhaft-Doherty
Two young people of Marshfield repeated their marriage vows at Sacred Heart
Catholic Church, Marshfield Saturday, November 29, as the Rev. Walter Dilenburg
read the nuptial service for Miss Dolores Doherty, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh
Doherty, 800 W. Sixth St., Marshfield, and Eugene Schlagenhaft 802 Central Ave.,
Marshfield.
The couple were attended by Miss Joyce Doherty , sister of the bride, and Ervin
Schlagenhaft, brother of the groom. Miss Doherty wore a green wool suit accented
with a corsage of Talisman roses.
The bride chose a gray gabardine suit for her wedding costume. Her flowers were
also roses.
Dinner [w]as served to 40 guests at the home of the bride’s parents.
Mr. and Mrs. Schlagenhaft spent their honeymoon at Wisconsin Dells. She is
employed by the United Shoe Machinery Corporation and he is employed at the Home
Service Station.
Guests from away who were present for the wedding included Mrs. George
Schlagenhaft, Sr and daughter Margaret, and Mr. and Mrs. George Schlagenhaft,
Jr., of Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Schlagenhaft and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Berndt,
Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Van Schayek, Madison; and Mrs. Oscar Olson,
Ashland.
Miss Dolores Doherty is the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Doherty who
formerly lived in Spencer. Spencer young folks who attended school with Dolores

wishes for a long and happy wedded life.
