Celebrate Golden Wedding Anniversary

Last week, Tuesday, November 25, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Andre celebrated their Golden Wedding.

Mr. and Mrs. Andre were married in 1897. They have three children, Herman of Spencer, Mrs. Lorraine Fenhouse of Ladysmith, and Werner of Muskegan, Mich. Werner could not be present for the occasion.

Open House was held at the Otto Andre home from 1:30 to 3:30. Mrs. Herman Buss and Mrs. Ed. Ertl prepared the coffee and Rochelle Fenhouse and Mrs. Ione Luepke poured. Mrs. Leonard Cramer and Mrs. Myron Cramer acted as waitresses.

At six o’clock a two course dinner was served at the old farm home of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Andre. Their son Herman and wife reside there now and acted as host and hostess. The decorations for table and rooms were appropriate for the occasion. The table was adorned with two bowls of chrysanthemums, two golden tapering candles, and in the center a wedding cake which was made by Mrs. H. Reinwand. A miniature bride and bridegroom adorned the top of the cake.

The cooks who prepared the dinner were Mrs. Walter Justman, Mrs. Dan Martin, Mrs. Melvin Schultz, Mrs. Fred Korth, Mrs. Charles Groh and Mrs. Arthur Pieper. The ladies who served were Mrs. Myron Cramer and Mrs. Leonard Cramer.

A talk and prayer was given by Rev. Stapel and a prayer was given by Rev. Heinz. After dinner toasts were given by Mrs. Lorraine Fenhouse, Mrs. Myron Cramer and Ina Cramer.

Mrs. Otto Andre wore a black dress trimmed in gold and a corsage of mums. Mr. Andre wore a grey suit and a buttoniere [sic] of chrysanthemums.

This estimable couple were the recipients of many nice gifts and a purse of money.

Friends and relatives from away were Mildred Pieper, Oshkosh; Mr. and Mrs. George Cramer, Marathon; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Fenhouse and daughter Rochelle, Ladysmith; Mr. and Mrs. Louis Cramer, Marshfield, Mrs. Otto Seefeldt, Unity; Charles Cramer, King, Wis.; and Ina Cramer, Castlewood, S. D.

We congratulate this honored and high esteemed couple and hope that they may live and enjoy many more anniversaries together.
