Vandeberg, Clarence (? - 18 July 1968)
Word has been received here of the death of Clarence Vandeberg, 62, of
Springfield, Ore. He died Thursday of an apparent heart attack. Funeral services
and burial were held Monday afternoon in Springfield.
Mr. Vandeberg, son of the late Abram and Lois (Huntley) Vandeberg, was born in
the Tow n of York. He was married to the former Naomi Durst on April 14, 1926.
They farmed in the Town of York for many years, later living in Marshfield,
Withee and Loyal before moving to Oregon in 1951.
He is survived by his wife; and nine children: Mrs. Emil (Alice) Piper of
Mulino, Ore.; Mrs. Donald (Jeanette) Will of Colby; Mrs. Harry (Rosalyn) Hanson
of Withee; Verlyn of Portland, Ore.; Ivan of Springfield, Ore.; Mrs. James
(Dorothy) Eckes) Marshfield; Marvin of Illinois; Mrs. Floyd (Shirley) Willhite
of Springfield, Ore.; and Milford of Oregon. Other survivors include two
brothers, Lawrence of Marshfield and Merrill and of Portland, Ore.; 26
grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Mrs. Donald Will, Mrs. Harry Hanson and Lawrence Vandeberg left by plane to
attend the funeral.
