Hrach, Catherine (6 July 1883 - 26 July 1968)

Funeral services were held Monday morning from St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville for Mrs. Catherine Hrach, 85, of Neillsville, who died here Friday. The Rev. George M. Nelson officiated. Burial was made in the parish cemetery.

Mrs. Hrach was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and its Parish Council of Catholic Women. A rosary service was held Sunday evening at the Georgas Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hrach, the former Catherine Aumann, was born July 6, 1883, in Jefferson, where she attended school. She came to Clark County with her parents, the late john and Caroline (Kemmeter) Aumann, in 1905. The family located on a farm in the Town of Pine Valley. She was married on October 9, 1906, to Ferdinand Hrach, who died in March, 1965. They farmed in the Town of Weston, retiring in 1946, when they moved to Neillsville.

She is survived by five children: Lawrence of Neillsville, Agnes Hrach of Sheboygan Falls, Mrs. Arthur (Cecelia) Ackerman of Neillsville, Francis of Madison and Mrs. Ralph (Margaret) Hansen of Milwaukee. Other survivors are: three sisters, Mrs. Tillie Knilan of Delavan, Mrs. Mary Gaden of Neillsville and Mrs. Elizabeth Haas of Neillsville; two brothers, Gottleib Aumann of Milwaukee and Henry Aumann of Loyal; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two children in infancy, and a daughter, Viola, Mrs. Glenn Mills, five brothers and a sister.
