Schock, Maude (18 Aug 1880-21 Nov 1961)
Funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon, November 24, for Mrs. Peter
Schock, 81, of Packwaukee, a former resident of Loyal. She had died at her home
early Tuesday morning after being in ill health for many years. Rev. Paul
Doering officiated and burial was made in the :oyal cemetery.
Pallbearers were Alfred Schultz, David and Donald Smith, Hugh Darton, Alex
Mrotek and Neal Stewart. James R. Colby sang, “Jesus Lover of My Soul” and “In
the Sweet Bye and Bye.” Mrs. Byron Zepplin accompanied him at the organ during
the services which were held at the Myre Funeral Home.
The former Maude Westlake was born August 18, 1880 in Marquette county, and had
lived in Westfield for many years where she worked as a milliner. She was
married to P. Shock in 1915 & the couple moved to Loyal where they operated a
farm until about 1950. when they retired and moved to Packwaukee.
Surviving is her husband, a step-daughter, Miss Lilas Schock, Packwaukee, and
many nieces and nephews.
Attending from out of town were William Stewart, Mrs. Elizabeth Herring, Mr. and
Mrs. Neil Stewart, and other relatives and friends from Packwaukee, Mr. and Mrs.
Roy Schultz of DeMidji, Minnesota; Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Lindekugel, Marshfield;
Mr. and Mrs. Alex Mrotek, Owen, and other relatives and friends from Owen.
