Rev. Alden Moldenhauer was toastmaster at a mother-daughter banquet held
Saturday evening in the Trinity Lutheran Church dining hall.
It was attended by 185 mothers and their daughters.
A welcome was extended by Mrs. Edd Dobbe and a toast to mothers was given by
Mary Moldenhauer. This was answered
with a toast to daughters by Mrs. Moldenhauer.
A girls double trio sand a song followed by a reading, “Time is a Circle” by
Vikki Gerdes. “Mothers Creed” was
presented by Mrs. Irwin Noeldner and “child’s Creed” was presented by Marilyn
Noeldner. An address by Pastor
Moldenhauer followed two selections sung by Beatrice and Helen Noeldner.
Awards were presented as follows: coming the longest distance, Mrs. Tom Brussow
of Madison; wearing the most buttons, Mrs. John Luchterhand; wearing the longest
necklace, Mrs. Lloyd Zimmermann; door prizes, Mrs. Erwin Dux, Carolyn Richert
and Mrs. Leslie Williams.
The dinner closed with group singing, “Loves Old Sweet Song’ and a closing
prayer.
The banquet was prepared by a group of women with Mrs. Edd Dobbe as chairman.
It was served by the men of the Brotherhood.
Mrs. Dale Lindekugel was the dining room chairman and Mrs. Clarence
Gorsegner was in charge of the program.
