Clark Grange met in the York Town Hall Tuesday evening with Ed York ast host.
A Short business meeting was held with Worthy Master, Julius Rennak
presiding.
For entertainment the Worthy Lecturer had Algene Schmidtke show pictures he had
taken while in service. Lunch was
then served by the host.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schmidtke entertained for supper Monday evening, Mr. and Mrs.
Reuben Lobe and son David of Olympia, Washington; Mr. and Mrs. Roy Chase and
Mrs. Roy Lawrence.
Mr. and Mrs. Rollie Benedict accompanied Robert Smith of Loyal on a trip to
Stevens Point and Rasholt Sunday afternoon.
Mrs. Herb Free, Mrs. Tony Schecklman, Mrs. Louis Guina, Mrs. Joe Pisney, and
Mrs. Louis Walter, all members of the York sew & So Homemakers club accompanied
a bus load from another club to Shawno Wednesday on a tour.
Mrs. Roy Hannan and Mrs. Edward Schecklman also were among the group.
Miss Terry Hannan of Chicago came Friday to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray
Hannan, returning home Sunday.
Other guests at the Hannan home Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hannan and
family, Mr. and Mrs. William Meyer and family of Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Howard
Sturtz and family of Neillsville.
Terry will be enjoying a trip to Europe in a short time.
Mrs. Louis Guina, Mrs. Herb Free, Mrs. Glen Lavey, Mrs. Ray Hetzel and Mrs.
Rollie Benedict accompanied Mrs. Earl Falconer to Madison Thursday where they
attended the Wisconsin Home Demonstration Council meeting held in the Memorial
Union Theater at the University of Wisconsin.
These ladies are all members of the York Sew & So Homemakers club.
It was a very enjoyable trip.
Mrs. Tony Spangler purchased a bale thrower for her John Deere 14-T baler this
week from Kuhl Implement at Granton.
Mr. and Mrs. Herb Free and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Voight visited Sunday afternoon with
Mrs. Harold Murphy, the former Leatrice Free, who is a patient in the Luther
Hospital at Eau Claire.
Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Lobe and son David of Olympia, Washington are visiting for
several days with Mr. and Mrs. Roy Chase.
Mr. and Mrs. Nyle Benedict and son Larry were Wednesday night supper guests of
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Pinkerton at Wisconsin Rapids in honor of their son,
Norman’s birthday.
Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Lavey and family of Wisconsin Rapids were Friday over night
guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Kronberger.
