Mr. and Mrs. R.B. Giese drove to Slinger on Thursday morning to attend the
funeral of a relative of Mrs. Giese.
They returned on Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Stutte, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Stienhoff, Mrs. Bridenbach, all of
Eagle; Mrs. Ben Clouse and Mrs. Alex Loos of Loyal visited the Mrs. Fred Stutte
home last Wednesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Allen Quast and daughter Lynnette of Whitewater visited at the home
of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Wepfer Friday until Tuesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Shannon of Rochester, Minnesota visited Friday evening at the
Emil Wepfer home. Mr. Shannon is a
brother to Mrs. Wepfer. Saturday
they attended the Swanson-Wepfer wedding at Marshfield.
Mrs. Alfred Hills, Sr. returned home Saturday from Ladysmith where she had
stayed for two weeks with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Parker, due to the
illness of her mother.
Mr. and Mrs. David Phillips of Madison visited Friday evening with Mr. and Mrs.
Ed Phillips.
Richard Andig of Pontiac, Michigan visited Thursday at the F.E. Gotter home and
at the home of Mrs. Ida Lautenbach.
Mrs. Frances Szarwinski and children, Joey and Denise, who are visiting her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. St. Dennis, at Marshfield, called on Mrs. Ida Lautenbach
Monday. The Szarwinski’s have their
home in Baltimore, Maryland.
Mrs. Ida Lautenbach accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Webb Colby of Crystal Lake,
Illinois to Camp Arrowhead at Minoqua Friday.
They returned home Sunday.
While there they registered Carl Colby at a camp for several weeks stay.
Mrs. George Varney of Marshfield left Friday after spending the past week with
her brother in law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Motchenbacher.
Mr. and Mrs. James Christenson and Mrs. Donald Hills and children went to Wild
Rose Sunday where they attended the state Knights of Columbus picnic.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Christenson of Madison accompanied them to Wild Rose
on their return home. They came
Saturday to attend the Swanson-Wepfer wedding at Marshfield.
Pete Hecker and two sons of Milwaukee spent the week end with Mrs. Joe Hecker.
Mrs. John Studnicka who had spent the week here returned to her home in
Milwaukee with them.
Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Smith and Kevin, Pittsville were dinner guests at the Bud
Smith home Sunday.
The Arnold Smith and the Bud Smith families were supper guests at the Ed Brown
home at Colby Sunday evening.
Mrs. Bud Smith visited Mrs. John Studnicka and family and Mrs. Joe Hecker
Thursday afternoon.
Week end guests at the Jake Henseler, Jr. home were Mr. and Mrs. Harry Dirkose,
Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Kolberg of Sheboygan; Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Vick of Wauwatosa
also called at their home Sunday evening.
