SOUTH SPENCER

The South Spencer Special Homemakers club and the Sawyer School Card Club gave their annual Christmas party at the Sawyer School House Sunday evening, December 21. Cards furnished the entertainment, 9 tables were in play with prizes awarded to Mrs. Karri Moen, and Bert Krohn, high; Mrs. Thurston Moen and Mrs. Ervin Hoops, second; Thurston Moen, consolation; and Eugene Endreas traveling. Richard Koch won the Door prize. A Christmas tree with exchange of gifts was a feature of the evening, apples and popcorn were served. Carols were sung and lunch was served.

A birthday party was given at the home of M and Mrs. William Kommer Saturday evening, December 20 in honor of Mr. Kommer. Cards were played, 3 tables being in paly. Prizes were merited by Mr. and Mr. George Wittman, first; Mrs. Mary Hoftizeer and Norman Kommer, second. Lunch was served.

Mr. and Mrs. Hjalmer Solverud of Marshfield were callers at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Adams Sunday afternoon.

Mrs. Karri Moen of LaCrosse is visiting at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Thurston Moen.
