Robert Galmecy Passes Away

Mr. and Mrs. John Herman of Loyal route 1 have returned from Mt. Carroll, Ill., where they were called to the death of Mr. Herman’s son-in-law, Robert Galmecy of Enumclaw, Wash. Who was killed instantly on January 3rd when he was struck by a falling timber in a home.

The body was brought to Mt. Carroll, Ill., where the funeral was held January 9.

Mrs. Galmecy was the former Myrtle Herman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Herman former Spencer residents and will be remembered here by many.

Mr. and Mrs. Galmecy had just completed building a new home.

This is the second accidental death in the Herman family in less than eight weeks. Mr. Herman’s son Harold was killed November 12, 1947 by a train in Nebraska, when he was enroute to visit his brother [unreadable] at Mt. Carroll, Ill.
