Mr. and Mrs. Howard C. Stewart, Spencer are announcing the marriage of their
daughter, Lucille S. Stewart, to Shou-Hai Pu which took place in New York city
on January 3rd.
Mrs. Pu, a graduate of the Spencer High School, attended the Milwaukee State
Teachers College, received her Bachelors Degree from Milton college, Milton and
her Masters Degree from the University of Wisconsin. She has taught English in
Spencer, Clinton, Sturgeon Bay and Sheboygan.
Mr. Pu, after his preliminary schooling in China, came to America to complete
his education. He has a Doctorate from Harvard and is presently employed in a
New York City bank.
Mr. and Mrs. Pu are now living in New York. Early in April they plan to sail for
Shangai [sic], where Mr. Pu will be engaged in the field of economics.
En route to San Francisco, the port from which they will sail, they plan to
visit Mrs. Pu’s relatives and friends in southern and central Wisconsin and Mr.
Pu’s brother, S. S. Pu, porfessor [sic] of economics at Carleton college,
Northfield, Minn.
The Record joins their many local friends in extending congratulations and best
wishes for a long and happy wedded life.
