Toltzman, Irene M. (17 APR 1929 - 5 MAR 2013)
Irene M. (Foth) Toltzman, age 83, of Spencer, passed peacefully away on Tuesday,
March 5, 2013 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, with her family
by her side. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, March 9,
2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencer. The Rev. David DePaoli will
officiate. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Spencer. A time of
visitation will be held from 10:30 AM until time of services Saturday at the
church.
Irene was born on April 17, 1929 in Spencer, the daughter of Myron and Sophia
(Hupe) Foth. She attended Brighton Country School, worked as a babysitter and
later worked at the Dairybelt in Spencer. On June 10, 1950, Irene was united in
marriage to Delmer Toltzman at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencer.
She was a loving and caring Mother who enjoyed doing the simple things in life.
Irene liked helping others, especially her family. She especially enjoyed
playing games, making crafts, quilting, knitting, crocheting and sewing (she
made all of her children's clothes). Irene had a big garden and canned for the
family every year. She was a wonderful cook and baker and loved baking for her
grandchildren. Irene had many different talents.
Irene is survived by her husband, Delmer; five children: Cheryl (Gene) Knoll,
Medford; Carla (Don) Dommer, David (Jean), Duane and Dean Toltzman, all of
Spencer; seven grandchildren: Melissa (Ryan) Pilgrim, Jonathan (Molly) and
Christopher Knoll all of Medford, Stacy (Jeff) Diedrich, Marathon, Nicholas
(Kayann Kalepp) Dommer, Joshua (Tiffany Esser) and Sierra Toltzman, Spencer;
great-grandchildren: Madisyn, Aliyah and Treyton Pilgrim, Medford, Carleigh and
baby Diedrich, Marathon, Brady and Kinsley Kalepp, Spencer. She is further
survived by her siblings: Bobby Foth, Belvidere, IL, Ardene Caswell, Milwaukee,
Dennis (Gayle) and Russell (Ann) Foth, both of Spencer; a sister-in-law, Emily
Johnson, Spencer; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Myron and Sophia and a brother, Armin
Foth.
