Curtiss – Funeral services were held Friday at the Evangelical and Reformed
Church at Curtiss for Edwin W. Krause, 65, who died last Monday. The Rev. Franz
Puhlman officiated and burial was made in the family lot at Pine Hill cemetery.
Mrs. Henry Peterson, accompanied by Mrs. Anna Jakel, sang “My Precious Savior,”
and Mrs. Puhlman sang “Beyond the Sunset.”
Pallbearers were Jake Johnson, John Ramminger, Ernest Stockmeyer, Joe Schiszik,
Dick Koerner and Albert Klessig. In charge of floral arrangements were six
granddaughters, Shirley, Betty, and Rosemary Krause, Westboro, and Mary Ann,
Karen, and Beverly Krause.
Relatives from out of town who attended are Mr. and Mrs. Herman Krause and son,
Milton, Manitowoc; Ralph Krause, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Greves, Mr. and
Mrs. Fred Ecke, Mrs. Duane Ecke, and Mrs. Viola Johnson, all of Marshfield; Leo
Hoffman, Minneapolis; Mr. and Mrs. George Hoffman, Marshall, Minn.; Mrs.
Lawrence De Jarlais, La Crosse, Cyrus Hoffman, Ashland; Mr. and Mrs. Walter
Riemer, Mr. and Mrs. Waldemar Riemer, Mrs. Robert Burns, Fond du Lac; Mr. and
Mrs. Herman Stecker and daughters, Marilyn and Mary Ann, Herbert Stecker and
Harold Beil, all of Hilbert; Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Beil, Arnold Orthepp, Mrs.
Carl Genske, Chilton; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Beil and daughter, Lee Ann, of
Reedsville.
