Joseph Kronschnabl (30 Oct 1905 - 12 Jul 1959)

Joseph Kronschnabl, native of this village (Dorchester, WI), died Sunday, July 12, in a Milwaukee hospital of a heart condition complicated with other ailments. In ill health for some time, he became seriously ill some time ago, and had been hospitalized intermittently since April.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. from St. Elizabeth’s Catholic church in Milwaukee, and interment was in Holy Cross Cemetery there. Attending the final rites were the deceased’s mother, Mrs. Sarah Kronschnabl, and brothers and sisters, Max, Jerome, Milton, Mrs. Carl Mertens, Miss Ceal Kronschnabl, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Herman and Joey. Also attending were Miss Marie Kronschnabl of Medford, Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Brehn of Athens, and Mr. and Mrs. Otto Genrich.

Joseph Kronschnabl was born here Oct. 30, 1905. Attending local schools through his youth, he went to Milwaukee as a young man, and resided there since. There, too, he was married June 18, 1936 to Adeline Andre, a native of Athens. Employed by the Badger Meter Manufacturing Co., for 24 years, he also was a member of St. Elizabeth’s Catholic church and the parish Holy Name Society.

Surviving are his widow and a son, Milwaukee; his mother, Mrs. Sarah Kronschnabl, three brothers, Max, Jerome and Milton, and four sisters, Rose, Helen (Mrs. Carl Mertens), Mildred (Mrs. Clifford Herman), and Ceal, all of this village.

His father, two brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
