Myrl Liskow (28 Apr 1903 – 1951±)
Neillsville – Funeral services for Mrs. Otto Liskow, 48, who died at a Madison
hospital Sunday, will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Georgas Funeral Home
and at 2 o’clock at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.
The Rev. Alfred Schewe will officiate at the services and burial will be made in
the Neillsville city cemetery. The body is reposing at the funeral home.
Mrs. Liskow, the former Myrl Ione Braun, was born April 28, 1903, at Owen and
was educated in Clark County schools and at the Taylor County Normal School in
Medford.
After teaching school for 10 years she was married to Otto Liskow at Neillsville
in 1927. They lived at the Liskow farm in the Town of Levis until 1939 when they
moved to the City of Neillsville.
For the past seven years she had suffered from poor eyesight and she entered the
hospital for treatment a month ago.
She had been a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church and its Ladies
Aid Society.
Surviving are her husband, who is employed in Milwaukee; a daughter, Joan, at
home, and her mother at Owen. One brother, Donald Braun and two sisters, Mrs.
Clarence (Alyce) Grittner, Westboro, and Mrs. Walter (Dorothy) Scesniak,
Milwaukee, are also living. Her father died in 1949.
