Lewis Lueddecke (28 Apr 1893 – Sep 1970)

DORCHESTER – Lewis Lueddecke, 77, of route 1, Abbotsford, died at 1:20 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Joseph’s Hospital. He had been in ill health for the past two years.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Peace United Church of Christ, Dorchester. The Rev. Milton Petzold will officiate and burial will be made in the Dorchester Memorial cemetery. Visitations may be made at the Maurina Funeral Home from 3 p.m. Friday until noon Saturday.
Mr. Lueddecke was born April 28, 1893, in Dorchester where he received his education. His marriage to Amelia Moder took place June 14, 1916 at the Peace United Church of Christ, Dorchester. He farmed in the town of Holton until his retirement in 1961.

He was a member of the Peace United Church of Christ and had served on the Pickered School Board for many years.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Mabel) Zugier, Dorchester, and Mrs. Gordon (Dorothy) Anderson, Abbotsford; a son, Lester, Abbotsford; 14 grandchildren; l7 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Bruno (Alma) Muehler, and Mrs. Hattie Ploeckelmann, Sheboygan.

He was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters.
