Hardy, Charles (18 December 1901 - 23 August 1968)
Services were held Tuesday forenoon from the Georgas Funeral Home for Charles
Hardy, 66, of Umatilla, Fla., who died in Florida Friday. The Rev. D. Eugene
Sprague of the Assembly of God Church officiated. Burial was made in the
Neillsville City Cemetery.
Mr. Hardy, a former resident of Neillsville, was born December 18, 1901, in
Chicago, Illinois, Ill., and came to Clark County with his parents at the age of
five. The family located on a farm in the Town of Washburn. He later worked for
the Bell Machinery Company in Oshkosh, retiring in 1962. Mr. Hardy, who had made
his home in Florida for the last four years, was married, August 3, 1965, in
Neillsville, to Phyllis Deviley.
Surviving are his wife; three daughters, Lucille, Barbara and Dianna; and a
sister, Mrs. Antoinette Cram of Neillsville.
