Miss Camille Panek became the bride Saturday, May 2nd, 1964, of John R. Smigaj
in a ceremony at St. John Kanty Catholic Church in Milwaukee.
Their parents are Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Panek, 2846 South 8th St., Milwaukee, and
Mr. and Mrs. Roman Smigaj, Thorp (Clark Co.), Wis.
Honor aides were Mr. and Mrs. John Olson of Milwaukee. Also in the bridal party
were Mr. and Mrs. George Autio of Oregon, Wis..
The bride wore a gown of silk organza, princess styled with a portrait neckline
and three-quarter sleeve, Alencon lace re-embroidered with pearls and sequins
enhanced the bodice and bouffant skirt. Her veil of silk illusion was attached
to an open pillbox of organza encrusted with pearls. She carried a white orchid
and a cascade arrangement of white roses.
Her attendants wore gowns of taffeta in candlelight with ransom gold accents,
styled with brief sleeves, scoop necklines and cummerbund of contrasting color
accented by a flowing Watteau panel in the back. Small headpieces in ransom gold
with nose veils completed their costume. Their bouquets consisted of yellow
cymbidiums and miniature yellow carnations.
The wedding breakfast and reception were held at St. John Evangelist in
Milwaukee.
After a wedding trip to Florida, the newlyweds will make their home in Minocqua,
Wis., where he has been living.
