Funeral services for Charles L. Brown, 82, route 1, Abbotsford, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, at the Polnaszek Funeral Home.  Burial was made in Abbotsford cemetery.  The Rev. Charles Glidden officiated.

Mr. Brown died at St. Joseph’s hospital Monday morning.  He was born March 21, 1882 at Owatonna, Minn., where he received his education.  In 1900 he came to Abbotsford, and in 1906 he married Gladys Moore of Abbotsford.  The couple settled on a farm in the town of Hull, where they have lived for the past 58 years.

Mr. Brown is survived by his wife; one son, Richard, at home; one daughter, Mrs. William (Myrtle) Gaetz, Spencer; six grand children; 11 great grand children; one sister, Mrs. Mildred Cornell, Waupun; and one brother, Ward Brown, Menomonie, Mich.  He was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
