Jacqueline Jean Butterbrodt of Loyal, daughter of Mrs. Marvelene (Duge)
Butterbrodt, exchanged nuptial vows August 17 with Alan Avery Main, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Curtis Main of Independence, Ia. The 7:30 p.m. candlelight service was
held in the Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Chili. Performing the double
ring ceremony was the Rev. Roland Roehrs. Bouquets of red and white gladioli and
candles adorned the pulpit.
The bride was given in marriage by her uncle, Louis Duge of Fairchild. For her
wedding the bride chose a white Belgian linen, semi-fitted sheath that featured
an embroidered train. Her fingertip veil was attached to a tiered pearl crown.
She carried a cascade bouquet of red roses.
Mrs. William Olson of Webster City, Ia., sister of the groom, was
matron-of-honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Carla Duge of Fairchild, cousin of the
bride, and Miss Kristen Lieske of Loyal. They wore gowns identical to that of
the bride, only with short halo veils attached to deep rose bows. Each carried a
single red Duchess Rose.
John A. Butterbrodt of Stevens Point, brother of the bride, was bestman.
Groomsmen were Donald Main of Independence, Ia., brother of the groom, and
Michael Lindow of Chili.
Heidi helm of Chili was the flowergirl and wore a deep rose dress. She carried a
white rose. John Olson of Webster City, Ia., a nephew of the groom was
ringbearer.
Robert Steffen of Milwaukee sang. He was accompanied at the organ by Mrs.
Kenneth Voss of Loyal.
Mr. and Mrs. Main will reside in Menomonie after September 8, where both are
seniors at Wisconsin State University.
At the reception, the wedding cake was served by Mrs. Wilbur Main and Mrs. John
Main. Coffee was poured by Mrs. Wilbur Kehrberg of Loyal and Miss Alma Happe of
Chili. Punch was served by Miss Carmen Duge of Fairchild and Miss Colleen
Houlihan of Stevens Point.
