Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Lukas and family of Milwaukee, and Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Yule
and family of New Berlin, spent the weekend visiting their parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Max Lukas.
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Muraski of Shawano are expected Saturday to visit her
brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. William Ruchaber. Sunday, Mr. and Mrs.
Ruchaber and Mr. and Mrs. Muraski plan to attend a family reunion in Fond du
Lac.
Mr. and Mrs. Bob Bell and family went to Milwaukee Friday, where they visited
Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Strangfeld and family. Saturday evening they visited Mr.
and Mrs. Russell Wold and family in Racine.
Mrs. Evelyn Anderson and Mrs. Flora Harding, both of Superior, visited their
cousins, Lida Meyers and Josephine Bass, last week. Mrs. Anderson teaches in
Superior.
A surprise birthday party for Edwin Evanson, Dennis Evanson and Joey Ehlers was
held Sunday at the home of Mrs. Eva Grottke and Linda. Those attending were:
Mrs. Orville Evanson and Dennis and Duane of Wausau; Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Ehlers
and three sons of Green Bay; Mr. and Mrs. Roger Ingold, Jr., and Mrs. Edwin
Evanson. Mr. Evanson was unable to attend due to illness.
Visitors Sunday at the Lukas home were Mr. and Mrs. Glen Zschernitz and family
of Minneapolis, Minn.
Mrs. Alfred Kleckner entertained her bridge club Wednesday evening at her home.
Mr. and Mrs. Francis Kipp and family of Milwaukee were overnight guests one
evening last week of her mother, Mrs. Marie Keller.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Laun and two children and Mrs. Bernie Smet of Chicago, Ill.,
are spending this week with their father, Carl Schroeder.
Mr. and Mrs. Dale Armitage visited their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.
Robert Armitage, in Moose Lake, Minn., last weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. Art Schraufnagel and family planned to leave today (Thursday) for
Chicago to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. Volini. Their daughter, Mrs. John
Nesser of Marshfield, planned to accompany them to Chicago, where she would take
a plane to Washington, D. C. to join her husband.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Appleyard and Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Appleyard and family visited
Mr. and Mrs. Leland Appleyard in Sparta last weekend.
Pfc. Wayne Zank has completed AIT training at Ft. Ord, Cal., and arrived
Saturday to spend a two weeks’ furlough with his wife, the former Ann Gross, at
the Leo Gross home. Pfc. Zank will be stationed at Ft. Riley, Kans.
Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Wavrunek and family of Colby called Sunday at the J. J.
Wavrunek home.
