MRS, BARBARA SMASAL
Mrs. Barbara Smasal, 86, passed away Friday morning at
10: A.M. at Victory Memorial Hospital in Stanley where she had been a patient
for the past two months.
She was born in 1875 in Campbellsport, Wisconsin, and
spent her younger days there.
She is survived by four sons, Leo of Port Angeles,
Washington, George and Sylvester of Stanley, and Arthur of Withee; three
daughters, Mrs. Vernon Jacobson of Oconomowoc, Mrs. Gertrude Wrolstad of
Milwaukee, and Mrs. Howard Rixford of Stanley; four brothers, Frank, George, and
Patrick Soellers, all of Campbellsport, and Alex of Thorp; one sister Mrs. Rose
Pinter of Boyd; 32 grandchildren and 60 great grandchildren.
Her husband and two sons preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held last Monday at 9:00 A.M.
from St. Ann’s church in Stanley.
The Rev. Father Cramer officiated at the
services.
Arrangements for the funeral were made by the Plombon
Funeral Home.
The pallbearers were six grandsons, Richard Jacobson
of Milwaukee, Donald Smasal and Bud Wrolstad of Withee, Rex Rixford of Thorp,
and Duane and Terry Smasal of Stanley.
Relatives and friends attending the funeral were from
Milwaukee, Campbellsport, Boyd, Oconomowoc, Withee and Stanley.
