FORMER WITHEE RESIDENT DIES IN CALIFORNIA
John D. Glau, 77, a retired Michigan dairy farmer and
former resident of Withee, died at his home at 1300 Pollard Rd., Los Gatos,
California, Friday, January 10th.
Funeral services were held Monday, January 13,
from the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in that city and burial made in Blossom Hill
Memorial Park.
Glau was born February 18, 1886, in Battle Creek, Mich. He was a dairy farmer in that area for half a century. After his retirement he spent some time in Withee living with his daughter and son-in-law, Rev. and Mrs. Walter Schedler, former pastor of St. John’s Lutheran Church, and now of Red Bluff, California.
