BONNIE
FREDERICKSON IS BRIDE OF ROBERT STERN
Grace
Lutheran Church in Storm Lake, Iowa on Sunday afternoon, December 22nd,
united Miss Bonnie Kay Frederickson and Robert Gene Stern when the Rev. Bertram
performed the double ring ceremony at 3:00 in the afternoon.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Frederickson of Withee,
and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Stern of Storm Lake, Iowa.
When
the bride was escorted to the altar by her father, she chose a floor-length
ivory satin gown which was accented with a lace cumberbund and an attached satin
train. Attached to her rhinestone
tiara was a bouffant veil. Her
bridal bouquet consisted of a large red poinsettia surrounded by white
carnations. Her single string of
cultured pearls were a gift from the groom.
A
candelabra with seven candles adorned the altar with bouquets of flowers of
white carnations and red poinsettias.
During the ceremony Dale Sorenson sang “The Wedding Prayer” and the
“Lord’s Prayer” being accompanied by Dale Hemington at the organ.
Aide
to the bride was Mrs. Don Syndergaard of Alta, Iowa, a sister of the bride,
serving as matron of honor. The
bridesmaids were Miss Julie Grigg of Alta, Iowa, and Mrs. Bonnie Augard of
Cherokee, Iowa. They were attired
in identical street length dresses of red brocade taffeta.
Brenda Syndergaard, a niece of the bride, was the flower girl, with the
ring bearer being
David Sanders.
Attending the groom as best man was Mr. Donald Miller of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Groomsmen were Randy Frederickson, a brother of the bride, and Berton
Martin of Storm Lake, Iowa. Serving
as ushers were Thomas Augard, of Cherokee, Iowa and Dale Miller.
A
reception was held in the church parlors following the wedding ceremony.
The
bride is a graduate of Owen-Withee High class of 1963.
She has been employed at Verns Variety Storm in Storm Lake.
The
groom graduated from the Hayes High School in 1958 and is presently operating an
Auto Body and Paint Shop in Storm Lake, Iowa.
After
a honeymoon trip which took them to Minneapolis the newlyweds are making their
home in Storm Lake.
