BARTOSIAK IS BRIDE OF JAMES POTOCNIK
Red
and white carnations decorated the altar at the First Congregational Church in
Owen when Miss Carol Jane Bartosiak became the bride of James Joseph Potocnik on
Saturday, December 21st.
The 8:30 evening nuptials were read by the Rev. Beryl Knudsen.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Bartosiak of Route 2,
Owen. The groom is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Joseph Potocnik Jr. of Route 2, Owen.
The
bride’s gown was a petite ballerina length gown of hand clipped Chantilly lace
and bridal tulle. The gown featured
a Sabrina neckline garnished with tiny seed pearls and irridescent sequins.
The fitted bodice had a dropped waistline and long sleeves.
The skirt was designed with a full shirred lace scalloped edge panel
front and back with a bouffant tulle ruffled sides.
She wore a dainty hairbraid bridal crown trimmed with pearls to which was
attached a circular veil. Her
Christmas bouquet was of red roses and white feathered carnations had a holly
lead background.
Attending the bride as matron of honor was her sister, Mrs. Fred Droster Jr.
She wore a red velvet long sleeved gown fashioned with a circle neckline
and bell-shaped skirt of ballerina length.
She carried a bouquet of red and white carnations.
Attending the groom as best man was Mr. Kenneth Jascor.
A
reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents following the ceremony.
The
bride is a graduate of the Owen-Withee High School and was employed in Wausau at
Employers Mutual of Wausau.
The
groom is a graduate of Owen-Withee High School an d is employed as a machine
operator at Foremost Dairies in Owen.
The
newlyweds will make their home in rural Owen.
