George Lundahl (19 Feb 1887 – July 1950)
George Lundahl, 63, lifelong resident of the Town of Mayville, died in St.
Joseph’s hospital, Marshfield, at 4 a.m. Wednesday of leukemia.
Funeral services will be held from St. Peter’s Lutheran church here at 2 p.m.
Saturday, July 29, following brief rites at 1:30 at the Zink Funeral Home,
Abbotsford, where the deceased now lies in state. The Rev. F. H. Sprengler,
pastor, will officiate at the services.
Mr. Lundahl was born in Dorchester Feb. 19, 1887, and grew up in this community.
He had lived on his farm in southwestern Town of Mayville for about 40 years,
moving there about the time of his marriage with Miss Grace Phaneuf Feb. 23,
1911. He had been a member of St. Peter’s church here until recent years, when
he transferred to Christ Lutheran church at Abbotsford.
Survivors include his widow and eight children, Mrs. Norman (Helen) Lukas,
Abbotsford; Robert, Fond du Lac; Mrs. Robert (Bernice) Engler, Jeffersonville,
Ind.; Mrs. Carl (Ethel) Morrow, Abbotsford; Misses Lorraine, Georgianna and
Grace, Chicago; and Jean, at home.
Three grandchildren and five sisters also survive.
A brother and sister preceded him in death.
