Funeral services for Wyona Rae, 3-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Pope, were held from Peace Evangelical church here Tuesday. The Rev. Fred W. Kollath, pastor, officiated at the rites at 3 PM. Mrs. Robert Keedy and Mrs. George Edwards sang “Asleep in Jesus” and “Ivory Palaces.” Mrs. Jerome Rankl was organist and accompanied the singers.

Burial was in Dorchester Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Fushsgruber Funeral Service, which had charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Frank Bednarek, Gary Oehler, Edward Brecke, Jr, and Fred Maass, Jr.

Wyona Rae died early the morning of Saturday, Jan. 4 at the Pope farm home. Her parents had just the day before brought her back from Wisconsin General Hospital, Madison, where she had been receiving treatment for nephrosis, the ailment which caused her death.

Born Dec. 8, 1954, Wyona became ill last summer and on Aug 29 was taken to the Madison hospital where she was a patient about three and a half weeks. In December she was returned there for two and a half weeks, being brought home Jan 3.

Besides her parents, the child is survived by two sisters, Mary Ellen and Orlean Jean, a brother Dennis (obit has been cut off)
