Henke, Louise Baldeschwiler (26 MAR 1882 – 31 OCT 1965)
Mrs. Louise (Baldeschwiler) Henke, 83, died at 12:15 a.m. Sun., Oct. 31st at St.
Francis Hospital at LaCrosse. Mrs. Henke lived in the Thorp area until the past
four years when she sold her home and lived with her daughter Mrs. Lawrence Weix
of Curtiss and Mrs. John Freisinger of LaCrosse. She was in ill health the past
4 years. She suffered another stroke two weeks prior to her death.
She was born in Badem, Germany, on March 26, 1882, and was married to Louis
Henke on Oct. 23rd in 1906 at St. Bernard's church at Thorp.
Her husband preceeded her in death in 1956.
She is survived by 3 daughters Mrs. Lawrence (Mary) Weix of Curtiss; Mrs. John
(Agnes) Austin of West Covina, Calif., and Mrs. John (Veronica) Freisinger of
LaCrosse. All of whom attended the funeral.
There were four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She also leaves a
brother Anton Baldeschwiler and a sister Mrs. Emil (Anna) Henke both of Thorp.
She was preceeded in death by a daughter Mrs. Harold (Martha) Sines and one
sister.
A Requiem High Mass was offered at 10 o'clock Nov. 2 at St. Bernard's Catholic
Church with Rev. Francis Brockman officiating.
Pall-bearers were Ray Baldeschwiler, Alfred Baldeschwiler, Lawrence Henke,
Donald Henke, William Meyer, and Ray Graham.
Relatives and friends attending were from Stanley, Owen, Boyd, Minneapolis,
Minn., Goodhue, Minnesota, Mazeppa, Minn., Greenville, Wis., Colby, Curtiss,
Abbotsford, Dorchester, and Milwaukee, Wis.
