Vinger, Palmer (1897? - 14 MAY 1964)
Palmer Vinger, 66, who has operated a real estate office at Greenwood (Clark
Co., Wis.) since 1923, died at 4 p.m. Thursday at Methodist Hospital in
Rochester, Minn., following vascular surgery, which was performed on Tuesday.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in Our Savior's Lutheran Church,
with the Rev. Arvid Myhrwold officiating. Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Mr. Vinger married Lydia Olson Dec. 5, 1917. They settled on a farm east of
Colby and in 1921 moved to the Greenwood area. Since 1923 he has been engaged in
the real estate and insurance business.
Mr. Vinger was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, the Greenwood Masonic
Lodge, Cloverbelt Real Estate Board, of which he was a charter member, and was
also a member of the National Association, was a charter member of the Greenwood
Rotary Club.
Survivors include his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Richard Thompson and Mrs.
William Kavanaugh, both of Greenwood; four brothers, Victory, Stanky; Chester,
Argyle; Milcom, New Prague, Minn.; and Gerhardt, Minneapolis, Minn.; 3 sisters,
Mrs. Clarence Robinson, Broadview, Ill.; Mrs. O.J. (Marie) Strand, Hollindale,
Wis.; and Mrs. Ed Ragatz, Stanley; and four grandchildren.
