McComas, Loyola (29 JUN 1915)
The many friends of Dan Hughes will be surprised and pleased to learn that on
Tuesday he was united in marriage to Miss Loyola McComas, the wedding taking
place at the bride’s home at Covington, Indiana. The marriage is a sequel to a
friendship established at the time the young people were at the state
university. Mr. and Mrs. Hughes are now on their way to Neillsville and will
spend a short time here and then go on to Montana to visit the groom’s mother
and other relatives. Dan Hughes is one of Neillsville’s most sterling young men,
one who everyone is pleased to know and have an interest in his welfare. He is
of an exceptional type of young manhood, faithfulness and conscientiousness
being his foremost characteristics. His bride is not known here, but her
selection by Dan as a helpmate is strong enough recommendation. For several
years Dan has been principal of the schools at Waldo and it is presumed that he
and his bride will take up their residence there in the fall. They have the most
genial wishes of all for their future welfare.
