Pleasant Ridge (15 Jul 1915)
The young people held a very interesting meeting at the church Sunday evening.
It is hoped more will turn out next Sunday.
The girls club met with Nina Counsell last week and with Myra Jahr this Tuesday
afternoon.
Mrs. Waterpool and family autoed to Lynn Sunday to see her daughter, Mrs.
Johnson. They returned in time for church.
Mrs. Baker of Levis is spending this week with friends here. The family spent
Sunday at Mrs. Tom Counsell’s.
There was a surprise party on Mr. and Mrs. Dan Hughes at Jim Hughes’ Friday
night.
The Altemus family entertained company from Evansville last week and from
Christie Sunday.
Mrs. O.E. Counsell and Ina Huckstead were taking the school census last week.
Arlo Huckstead had his barn and granary treated to a coat of paint last week.
They have a fine appearance.
Ed. Selves and wife spent Sunday at George Howard’s.
Everyone is busy haying.
Mrs. Fred Darling gave a party Wednesday for her sister, Lydia King.
