Jarocki, Philomena (6 JAN 1888 - 7 JUL 1965)
Philomena Jarocki, 77, passed away on July 7th, 1965 at Victory Memorial
Hospital, Stanley.
Philomena Zawacki, daughter of the late Stanley and Alexandra Zawacki, was born
Jan. 6, 1888 in Poland. In 1909 she married Andrew Jarocki in Poland and on Dec.
12, 1912 they came to the states where they farmed in the town of Withee (Clark
Co., Wis.) until 1945. Then they moved to Selah, Wash., where they resided for 3
1/2 years and came back to the town of Withee.
Funeral services were held at St. Mary's of Assumption Polish National Catholic
Church, Lublin on July 11th. Rev. Anthony Matla officiated at the 9:30 a.m.
service and burial was in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were: Walter Staniec,
Jr., Ray Soper, Gerald wiles, Frank Staniec, John Witek and Walter Orysczyn.
Besides her husband Andrew, she is survived by one son Peter at home; two
daughters, Mrs. Walter (Helen) Staniec, Mrs. Frank (Frances) Soper, both of
Withee; 2 sisters, Mrs. John (Anna) Kliminski, Thorp, and Mrs. John (Elizabeth)
Sypniewski, Chicago; two brothers, Wm. And Stanley Zawacki, Thorp; 7
grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
