Sleger, Bernard C. (8 JUL 1907 - 25 JUL 1965)
Bernard Charles Sleger, 58, of 242 Fourth Ave., Stanley, died at his home Sunday
night.
Mrs. Sleger was born July 8, 1907 in Maribel, Wis., and worked in Denmark, Wis.
In a cheese warehouse. He has spent hsi entire life in the cheese industry.
He moved to Stanley in 1934, where he was a manager of the Chippewa Cheese Co.,
which was later sold to Blue Moon and Foremost Industries. Mr. Sleger remained
with the firm until 1962, when he retired because of ill health.
He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church; the Masonic Lodge of DePere,
Wis., and Tripoli Shrine of Eau Claire.
Surviving are his wife, Leonora; two daughters, Mrs. Frank Gatyas, Downers
Grove, Ill., and Mrs. Peter Lien, Tucson, Ariz.; his mother, Mrs. Frank Sleger,
Maribel, and Mrs. Earl Taltzman, Manitowoc; and one brother, Edward, Manitowoc.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church,
the Rev. Carl Peterson officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Stanley.
