Repeating marriage vows during a 10 o'clock wedding ceremony solemnized in St.
Beranrd's Catholic Church here Saturday, June 26, 1965 were Miss Vicki Joan
Hicks, daughter of Henry Hicks, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.)), and Laurence
Moskiewicz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Moskiewicz, Thorp.
Officiating at the ceremony, at which Henry Hicks gave is daughter in marriage,
was the Rev. Francis Brockman. St. Bernard's chori sang for the nuptials.
The floor length bridal dress of peau di soie with bateau neckline, camelot
sleeves and full detachable train was styled with Alencon lace and seed pearls
at the bodice. Her bouffant veil was a wedding cake crownof Alencon lace. She
carried a crescent of roses, stephanotis and ivy.
Miss Peggy Alger of Green Bay, the maid of honor, and Mrs. Peter Moskiewicz of
Sierra Vista, Ariz. And Miss Marlene Hazuga of Thorp, bridesmaids, were
identically dressed in floor length formals of peach peau di soie. Pouf veils of
peach were attached to a cluster of flowers for their headpieces, and each
carried a crescent of peach and white roses.
Dennis Moskiewicz of Milwaukee was his brother's best man, and Peter Moskiewicz
of Sierra Vista and Fred Turenne, Thorp, friend, acted as groomsmen. Ushers were
Pat Pabich and Clarence Turenne of Thorp.
Mrs. Moskiewicz attended her son's wedding in a white pyrex mettalic 2-piece
dress with blue accessories; acting as honorary mother of the bride, Mrs. Ed
Alger wore a pink suit and white accessories. Each corsage were of roses.
The wedding breakfast, reception and supper were held at St. Hedwig's Hall. A
wedding dance was held in the evening.
The wedding cake was cut and served by Mrs. Stanley Arciszewski and Mrs. Joe
Meske.
Both young people are Thorp graduates. Vicki graduated from Stout University and
Larry attended Eau Claire College for two years and is employed by Minnesota
Mining. The newlyweds are at home at 2414 Oakland Av., Apt. 203, Minneapolis,
Minn.
Out of town guests attending were Sierra Vista, Chciago, Eau Claire, Menomonie,
St. Paul, Amery, Spencer, Augusta, Seymour, Spring Valley, Milwaukee, Owen and
Holcombe.
