The marriage of Beverly V. Kopka, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter W. Kopka, 452
E. Waterford Av., Milwaukee, Wis., to Donald J. Papierniak, 477 Pennsylvania
St., Denver, Colo., son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis P. Papierniak, Thorp (Clark Co.,
Wis.), took place June 19, 1965 in Milwaukee at the Church of the Immaculate
Conception in Bayview. Father David Ryan officiated, and was accompanied by the
sung responses of the especially beautiful voices of the parish choir, at the
12:00 noon Nuptial High Mass.
Given in marriage by her father Walter Kopka, the bride wore a chapel train
length gown of taffeta peau de soie with seeded Alencon lace appliques, and an
illusion veil from a crown of seeded pearls. She carried an arranged bouquet of
white orchids, baby breath and ivy.
The bridesmaids, Barbara Kopka, maid of honor, Kathleen Kopka and Ramona Damrow
wore pastel turquoise floor length, empire cut taffeta gowns and matching seeded
pearl headpieces. Each carried a cascading bouquet of tinted carnations and ivy.
Dick Plansky was best man. Bud Papierniak and Roger Petryk were groomsmen and
uhsers.
A buffet luncheon, immediately following the ceremony, was held at Pulaksi Hall
for 180 guests, followed by a reception and dinner and dance for 230 guests in
the evening.
All bouquets, corsages and table decorations were selected turquoise, yellow and
white color. An exceptional gift tot eh couple was a beautiful five-tier wedding
cake, and two heart shaped cakes, made and given by the groom's brother, bud.
After a wedding trip in northern Wis., the couple is residing in Denver, Colo.,
271 Grant St., where Don is employed by the Allstate Insurance Co. in the IBM
department. Bev is a registered nurse, graduated from St. Joseph's Hospital in
Marshfield, Wis.
