CLARK COUNTY FARM MISHAP KILLS INFANT
Dennis Staab, 23 month-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward
Staab of route 1, Dorchester, died of a crushed skull at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday,
February 5, when he was run over by a manure spreader on his father’s farm.
The accident happened three miles west of Dorchester.
Staab told Clark County Sheriff Ray Kutsche and
Coroner Robert Lulloff the tot went to the barn with him.
Staab was going to pull the tractor and
spreader out of the barn when he noticed his son beneath the hind wheel of the
spreader.
Lulloff said young Dennis was killed instantly.
The tot was one of 12 Staab children, who range in age from 10 months to 16 years.
