Hlavac, Agnes M. (1948)

Holterman-Hlavac

Monday May 17, was the wedding day of two well known young people of Spencer. Miss Agnes M. Hlavac, daughter of Mrs. Joseph Hlavac Sr., and Donald J. Holterman, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Holterman. They repeated their marriage vows before the Rv. Bernard Henry in the rectory of Christ The King Catholic Church.

The bride wore a gown of white ninon over satin fashioned with a lace peplum and sleeves, a fitted bodice, and a full entrained skirt. Her finger-tip veil was caught to a beaded tiara. She carried a silver rosary and a bouquet of lilies.

The maid of honor, Miss charlotte McHale, Chicago, neice [sic] of the bride was dressed in pale orchid, styled with a bouffant skirt featuring lace insertions, which matched the lace bodice and puffed sleeves and carried colonial bouquet of talisman rose buds.

Dr. H. T. Callahan attended the bridegroom.

A reception was held at the home of the bride’s brother and sister-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hlavac Jr. at 2 o’clock and a buffet luncheon was served to 25 guests.

At the afternoon reception, E. C. Holterman of Madison, brother of the groom, took moving pictures of the bridal party and guests on the lawn.

Mrs. Holterman has been employed as a telephone operator in Marshfield. Her husband is a contractor.

Out-of-town guests at the wedding were Attorney E. C. Holterman and Miss Annette Holterman, Madison; Miss Janet Holterman, Milwaukee; Miss Charlotte Holterman, Fort Atkinson; Mr. and Mrs. T. J. McHale and daughter, Charlotte and Miss Julie Hlavac, Chicago, Ill.

The Record joins their many local friends in extending congratulations and best wishes for a long and happy wedded life.
