Reed Funeral

OWEN--The Rev. Russell Westendorf conducted funeral services Thursday afternoon at the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home for George M. Reed, 67, who died Monday. Burial was made in Riverside Cemetery in Withee.

Pallbearers were Henry Brill, Donald Gehrke, Carl Buchholz, Chris Brunner, Roland Annis and Robert Buchholz.

Mrs. Charles Hofflander was the organist.

Mr. Reed was born June 26, 1895 in Iowa. He received his education in Iowa and was married there on Feb. 8, 1920 to Opal Ireland from whom he is separated. He has lived in Owen for the past 20 years.

Out of town people attending were his daughters and their families, Mr. and Mrs. Glen (Helen) Turner and family, Oaklawn, IL and Mr. and Mrs. William (Frieda) McCroy, Oak Park, IL; his brother and sister-in-law, Jim Reed, Adel, Iowa, and his sisters, Margaret Brown, Adel, Iowa and Mrs. Alice Weaver, Seattle, WA.
