Mrs. H. Huebscher Died Sunday At Wausau Home
28-Aug-1867 / 13-Apr-1953

Funeral services were held from Christ Lutheran church, Abbotsford, Wednesday, Apr. 15, 1953 for Mrs. Henry Huebscher, 85, long-time resident of this community. The Rev. F. H. Sprengler officiated at the rites, and burial was in the Abbotsford cemetery.

Mrs. Huebscher, before moving to Abbotsford a number of years ago, had resided for many years in the Town of Holton, about six miles east of the village. She died Monday at the Marathon County Home for the Aged at Wausau, where she had resided the past three years.

Born Catherine Schlegel in Switzerland Aug. 28, 1867, she came to this country when a young woman. She and Chris Hageman were married at Appleton soon afterward, and after his death she, in 1917, married Henry Huehscher, who died Oct. 24, 1944. She was a charter member of Christ Ladies Aid at Abbotsford.

Survivors include two sons, George Hageman, Park Falls, and Henry Hageman, Park Ridge, Ill.; five step-daughters, Mrs. Louise Miller, Mrs. Nellie Miller, Mrs. Anna Miller, and Mrs. Julia Gray, Park Ridge, Ill., and Mrs. Henry Wilhelmi, Abbotsford; step-son, Henry Huebscher, Milwaukee, and four grandchildren.
