Albert Olsen (20 Dec 1880 – 1958?)
FORT ATKINSON – Funeral services for Albert Olsen, 77, Fort Atkinson, a former
blacksmith in the Stetsonville area, will be held here at 2 PM Friday in the
Royal F. Hayes Funeral Home.
The Rev. Stanford Strosahl of the First Methodist Church will officiate and
burial will take place in the Evergreen cemetery here. Mr. Olsen died at his
home Wednesday evening following a short illness.
Born in the town of Holway, Taylor County, Dec. 20, 1880, the son of Jergen and
Christine Olsen, the deceased married Albena Donais Oct. 29, 1902, at
Stetsonville.
Mr. Olsen was a blacksmith in that Taylor county village until 1925, when he and
his wife moved to Fort Atkinson. He took up employment there in the sheet metal
department of the Creamery Package Manufacturing Co. and remained for 30 years.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Raymond Olson, Wauwatosa; two
sons, Lester of Madison and Theodore of Fort Atkinson; six grandchildren; three
great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Alvin Cross, Park Falls.
