Robert Meyer (10 Jan 1865 – 1965)
Mrs. Rose Tessmer this week had word from Clarkston, Wash, of the death of an
uncle, Robert Meyer, aged 100 years. Born Jan. 10, 1865, at Michicot, this state
(WI), Meyer had resided in Clarkston since 1904. He retired in 1948 at the age
of 83 from his life's work as building contractor. He built many of Clarkston’s
buildings, laid most of the city’s sidewalks, and also erected a score or more
homes in neighboring Lewiston.
Other survivors include another niece, Mrs. Edwin Guth, and a nephew, Ed Meyer,
of this community (Dorchester, Mayville Twp., WI). (also nephews: Herman, Harvey
and Emil Meyer)
