Sherwood (26 September 1968)

St. John’s Lutheran Church of Pittsville held the dedication service of their new addition and remodeling of their church Sunday. Several of the people of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Sherwood attended as Rev. Keller is pastor of both churches.

Friends and relatives helped Mrs. Russell Jacobson celebrate her birthday Saturday evening. The guest of honor received many gifts and a lunch was served.

Sherwood Sewing club met Tuesday evening at the home of Mrs. George Florence.

Mr. and Mrs. Gus Wegeman and family of Grafton were weekend guests of Charles and Ivan Schwanebeck home. Mrs. Irene Wilde of Cedarburg who spent the last two weeks there returned home with them.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Schwanebeck and Wayne Schwanebeck’s children were guests Sunday at the Albert Hasz home in Lynn.

Mr. and Mrs. Ardo Fluegel and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Schwanebeck spent the weekend fishing at Potato Lake.

Mr. and Mrs. Ed Larson of Nekoosa spent the weekend with the Ardo Fluegel children while their parents were gone.

Mr. and Mrs. John Fluegel and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Larson attended a supper at the Lutheran Church in Neillsville.
