Mrs. Max Opelt of the town of Levis came Wednesday to attend the quilting at
Mrs. Albert Sternitzky's.
Mrs. Paul Martin and sons Stanley and Paul, the latter only 6 months old, with
her sister Miss Martha Opelt, came up from Sheridan last Friday and visited at
Max Opelt's in Levis until Wednesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Sternitzky, the Misses Frieda and Lulu Sternitzky drove down
to Max Opelt's Tuesday and spent the day with relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. James Tremmeling and children, with Mr. and Mrs. Tremmeling, all of
Marshfield, autoed over and were Sunday guests of the Altenburg's.
Howard White of Lindsey accompanied Rev. Grenfel here from Lindsey Sunday where
Mr. White delivered the sermon. We were all pleased and hope to hear Mr. White
again.
Mrs. Erenst Montag of Chili is visiting rleatives in this place since Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ebbe and their two daughters autoed over from Grand Rapids
Saturday and made a weekend visit to Mrs. Ebbe's parents, Mrs. and Mrs. Peter
Jensen.
Fred hankey was a Marshfield visitor on Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. R.T. Washburn entertained the Wm. Guk and Adolph Beil families on
Sunday.
Mrs. Paul Martin and sons Stanley and Paul, who were up from Sheridan visiting
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Max Opelt, were with her father, his daughter Martha
and Mrs. Arthur Opelt, the guests of relatives and old friends here on Monday.
Mrs. Albert Sternitzky entertained 15 of her lady friends at a quilting on
Wednesday.
Gus Marg and family, Wm. Guk and family, R.T. Washburn, Mr. and Mrs. Leo
Sternitzky, Mrs. James Sternitzky, were among the visitors at Marshfield this
week.
Mrs. R.c. Norman and Mrs. Mary Norman autoed to Nevis Saturday and spent the day
with the former's aunt, Mrs. Bertha Frechette.
Mr. and Mrs. Lester Shafer of Granton were Sunday guests of the Altenburg's.
Mr. and Mrs. John Martin, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Dankemyer, Mr. and Mrs. Arne Ross and
the William Reisner and John Hefty families autoed down and spent Sunday with
the Max Opelt family at Levis.
Mrs. R.T. Washburn, with Mrs. Baer of Granton, autoed down and had dinner with
Mrs. Clemens Kuechenmeister and Grandma Hantke last Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. R.T. Washburn were at Neillsville Saturday evening and saw the show
"The End of a Perfect Day" at the opera house there that evening.
Remember the Red Cross and chicken pot pie supper and Circle sale at Granton
tomorrow, Saturday evening. Everybody is welcome.
