Stuttgen, Carol A. (21 APR 1956 - 16 MAR 2013)
Carol Ann Stuttgen, age 56, of Colby, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2013 at
Ministry Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will
be held 11:00 AM Thursday, March 21, 2013 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in
Colby. Father Dan Hackel will officiate. A visitation will be held Wednesday,
March 20, 2013 at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford from 4:00 to
8:00 PM with a Rosary at 4:00 PM and again visitation will be held on Thursday
from 10:00 AM until the time of services at St. Mary's in Colby.
Carol was born April 21, 1956 to Eugene and Florence (Stauner) Broeske. She
attended Pleasant Hill Grade School and Saint Louis Catholic School in
Dorchester and was a 1974 graduate of Abbotsford High School. Carol and Melvin
Stuttgen were united in marriage on October 4, 1986 at St. Mary's Catholic
Church in Colby. After graduating from high school she was employed as a cook at
Medo Farms in Abbotsford and then Colby Café, later for the Colonial Center
Nursing Home in Colby and in the bakery at County Market in Abbotsford. In her
later years Carol was employed at Fiskars in Spencer until the plant closed.
Carol then worked for Lifenet in Colby until the time of her death.
Carol was an active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Colby. She was a
member of St. Mary's Christian Mothers. She enjoyed spending time with her
family.
Carol is lovingly survived by her husband; Melvin Stuttgen of Colby, her
children; Carrie Stuttgen of Colby, Susan Stuttgen of Colby and Patrick Stuttgen
of Colby. She is further survived by her brothers and sisters; David (Linda)
Broeske of Abbotsford, Jean (Dennis) Beisner of Colby, Duane (Sharon) Broeske of
Stetsonville, Jim (Cheryl) Broeske of Abbotsford and Donald Broeske of Rib Lake.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents; Eugene and Florence Broeske and her
sister; Marilyn Broeske.
