Granton residents won’t have to worry about a water shortage for several years
because of two new wells that are serving them.
The two wells are capable of providing 720,000 gallons of water a day, according
to figures provided by R. W. Zaborowski, Thorp, of Cooper Engineering, Rice
Lake, which supervised the project. Zaborowski said that he is being
conservative in estimating that wells will yield 500 gallons a minute, and
eventually 720,000 gallons a day. Public works Directory Dale Wesenberg said
that under ordinary conditions, Granton uses 27,00 gallons of water a day.
