Viegut New President of Conservation Club
Emil Viegut was elected president of the Fox-Coon-Pheasant Conservation Club at
a meeting of the group last week. Other offices elected were Clarence Kalepp,
vice president; J. J. Youmans, secretary; and Frank Dessl, treasurer.
During the meeting, the club voted to investigate prices n raccoon and pheasant
with the purpose of getting some stocking in mind.
Jim Oehmechan volunteered to raise 200 pheasant chicks and arrangements were
made to contact the state game farm at Poynette about getting the birds.
The club voted to hold a basket social at the Eau Pleine Rife Club clubhouse,
four miles east of Colby, on St. Parick’s Day, March 17.
