College Notes (20 March 2013)

The following area students were named to the fall semester dean’s list at Northwestern College in St. Paul MN:

Morgan Huber, daughter of Phil and Karen Huber of Colby, awarded with highest honor (GPA 3.90-4.0). She is pursuing a degree in elementary education.

Frank Schmidt, son of Kris Schmidt of Neillsville, awarded with highest honors. He is pursuing a degree in Biblical studies.

Benjamin Streckert, son of Mark and Cindy Streckert of Unity, awarded with highest honors. He is pursuing a degree in English.

Tyler Klieforth of Abbotsford has been awarded a Presidential Scholarship from Upper Iowa University in the amount of $14,000.

Jennifer Booth of Owen was among the fall 2012 graduates of the University of Wisconsin-Superior. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education.

Ethan Ensign, a mechanical engineering major from Unity, was named to the Milwaukee School of Engineering honors list for the 2013 winter quarter. Students on this list have earned a GPA of at least 3.2 and are not on the Dean’s list.
