Norman Ploeckelman (2 Feb 1923 – 3 Oct 1941)

Funeral services were held at 9:30 Monday morning (6-Oct-1941), from St. Louis' Catholic church for Norman Leo Ploeckelman, 18, stepson of Mr. Frank Ploeckelman and son of Mrs. Frank (Rose) Engel Ploeckelman (former Mrs. Ervin Ploeckelman 1895-1930), who passed away last Friday morning (3-Oct-1941), at 8:30 o'clock at Statesan, Waukesha, Wis., of bronchial pneumonia. Rev. P. T. Weller read the services and burial was made in Memorial cemetery. The body lay in state at the home of his parents until time for the funeral.

Norman Leo Ploeckelman was born Feb. 2, 1923. He attended Hilltop school and was a student at Dorchester High School for two years. He entered Mount View Sanitarium, Wausau, July 29, 1940 and was transferred to Statesan on Sept. 29, 1941. The remains were brought here Friday by E. J. Fuchsgruber.

Surviving besides his mother and step-father are one brother, Robert; a half-brother, Kenneth, and his grandparents, Mr. Frank (Francois) and Mrs. Charlotte (Decker) Engel. His father, Ervin, preceded him in death in 1930 as did one brother, Raymond Ploeckelman, in 1921.

Pallbearers were Earl Sailer, Cyril Decker, Sylvester Geiger. Francis Syvert, Kenneth Schumacher and Clemence Heindl.
