Arlene J. Loughlin (24 Jun 1890 - 17 Aug 1963)

Funeral services for Mrs. Arlene J. Loughlin, 73, 810 N. Fourth St., who died Friday at a local hospital, will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at St. Michael's Catholic Church with Msgr. William McNamee officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Grand Forks.

The body will lie in state at the Grand Forks Norman Funeral Home Monday afternoon and evening. Rosary will be recited there at 8 p.m. Monday.

Arlene Lindeman was born June 24, 1890, in town of Mayville, Clark Co., Wis., where she was raised and educated. She married Stanley Loughlin March 13, 1912, in Minneapolis.

The Loughlins moved to McCanna after their marriage. They later resided at Larimore, Grafton, Hunter and Niagara, all in North Dakota, while Mr. Loughlin worked as a section foreman for the Great Northern Railroad. He died in 1948.

Mrs. Loughlin, a resident of Grand Forks since 1948, resided for several years at St. Anne's Guest Home here.

She is survived by her three daughters, Mrs. Oscar (Gertrude) Hall of Grand Forks, Mrs. Thorvald (Lillian) Baarstad, Silverdale, Wash., and Mrs. Robert (Norma) Brown, Cottage Grove, Ore.

Other survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Josephine Gonsky and Mrs. Vira Boness, both of Racine, Wis., and Mrs. Anna Johnson, Dorchester, Wis.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Loughlin was preceded in death by her parents and 11 brothers and sisters. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Grand Forks.
